Dear Steph! If it's not too impolate to adress you this way???
I've read your presentation of yourself & I'm impressed! What a lovely Granny to have! & also the authors that are your favorites! I would, though, direct you to Jorge Luis Borges that showed the way for both Marguez & Llosa, and many others. If you start on Borges you will have a lifetime interest! I'm not very good in Spanish, but in both in Spanish & translation he's the ultimate Latin-American author!!!

PS: Sorry if my English messes up since I'm a professional author in Norwegian, and to some degree in Danish...

Holler :p No, not yet but I've filled everything out except for two parts which I have questions on:
1) Are sunday times weekends any different than weekdays? (actually, I don't even know the store hourse at all, silly my)
2) What's the location/ store #?
Also, the position I want would be a sales clerk, right?

See you soon!

I laugh every time I visit your page and see that it's the only page on the site that doesn't say "bergenlit" at the top.

Profile Information

About Me:
2o years old
Reside in a little town- Saddle Brooklyn.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have always had a thirst and passion for reading. My grandmother would read and sing to me in Spanish. I have a great appreciation for Literature and Music- the two Loves of my life.

As of now my future plans are still somewhat in the air...but I hope to attend Rowan University in the fall and possibly do a double major in English and Communications.
Why did you join BergenLit?
I don't think I have ever encountered someone so passionate and so dedicated to what they do... until I met Prof Stacey Balkan. Her Writing and Literature classes have enabled me to think critically and independently about texts in order to find greater meaning. These past three semesters have been refreshing, and so very stimulating. Her classes have evoked a great deal of compassion and love for Literature.
I joined BergenLit in an effort to gain more knowledge and experience different aspects of Literature. Literature defines humanity.. Literature is a tool; it’s a fundamental instrument that is mightier than the sword.
If someone shares the same love and enthusiasm for books (and Literature) I believe that they'd truly appreciate this AMAZING CLUB.
Favorite books and authors:
Tuesday's With Morrie, The House of the Spirits, Rosario Tijeras, A Sweet Scent of Death, The House on Mango St, The Bad Girl, Persepolis, The Inferno, Angela's Ashes, Animal Farm, Great Gatsby, The Color Purple, She's Come Undone, To Kill A Mockingbird

Pablo Neruda, Isabel Allende, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Martin Espada, Maya Angelou, Sandra Cisneros, Emily Dickinson.
